hello people.
Gosh it's been three meetings since I've met any one of //oneSOULart members
anyways I've already read the minutes of the meetinf before the previous one and see that the '//onSOULart POETRY section need to 'kick some butt and get to action'

first thing's first.
>>Poetry Crit by LITERATURE PANEL.( round 20/07/2003)
The deadline for this was supposed to be last tuesday as I've personally called each Registered POET about this. However due to my 'kindness and generosity' (pah! who am I kidding!) I've decided to collect it this Sunday during our weekly meet.

Each poet or //oneSOULart member may submit up to 15(max) no of poem/ prose in a printed format.
>single spacing
>font size 10-11
>along with a description
>and an index in the initial part of the submission
>and yeah include somesort of identification bearing your initials/nickname/ whateva on the cover
>staple/bind/or put it in a folder. You decide.

Next each submission will be screened by a representative of the PANEL before 'deemed fit for review'
#guys, I now this part seems really cruel/ discriminatory but that's the way that they'll play ball so play ball we shall.


Later on the selected poetries will be returned with reviews and the panel will select and nominated some of the best works. Then we can have our own MINI-Laurette.poet-award ceremony.muhahahaha

hello //onesoulart-ians...

sorry i couldnt be there for the meeting yesterday, had to take my trip up to seremban to mingle with the elder relatives.

now, here's a suggestion for next meetings 'thing' about focusing on photography... the thing about photography, and all art in fact, is that it's more practical than 'show and tell'. it's all good to of course, have pictures and say, 'i took this at this setting and that setting', but most of us, especially me DONT remember the setting we've used and a lot of us have seen each other's work already, via DA.

So i suggest this for next Sunday - go out and take photographs, jot down whatever info we can, apperture, film, settings, time of day, location, etc, get them developed, and THEN come back and share our findings. That way, we would all have a doublyproductive weekend and perhaps would come up with new ideas and inspiration. Of course, going out to seek ideas is restricted to photographers alone, but poets, digital artists, etc etc etc, are all welcomed to sit under a tree and ponder too.

Actually, since most of us work Monday-Fridays, so weekends are about the only time we're free to venture out and snap photos, so me, Rekha, Su, Lynne and Che Hui have decided do a weekend photographic trip to Melaka. Everyone is welcomed to join us, altho acommodation and transport tanggung sendiri lah of course. This way, we're being productive and hopefully honing or photographic skills, and also getting out and doing something healthy! Let's face it, art isn't often produced during meetings

So what think you all? We can all infest Melaka together, or break up into groups and some of us can go infest Melaka, another group can go infest KL, another can go infest Silva's... Either way, this is the plan, leaving KL saturday noon sometime, and returning Sunday. If u all dont wanna stay a night pun boleh, it's up to you.
